Sharon's birthday was spent cycling around wine cellars in Mudgee
For Sharon's birthday this year we took a few days off and headed west. We stopped in the blue mountains for a day / night before taking a scenic drive to Mudgee, a lovely town in the middle of wine country, about 4-5 hours west of sydney. We rented a lovely little cottage for a few days and relaxed, enjoying the local produce and soaking in what some australians call 'the real australia'. For the special day we hired a funky tandem mountain bike and toured the wine region stopping off whenever we could to sample the wine, we had a great day, meeting some lovely people and enjoying some amazing vino.
